12.09.2025 - 08.11.2025
Opening: Friday, September 12, 2025, 7 p.m.
Jaeger Art, Berlin
The exhibition presents a rare and focused selection of Julio Rondo’s artworks spanning more than three decades, many of which have not been seen publicly since the 1990s.
Rondo has developed a distinctive visual language that he has remained faithful to while continually refining it over the years. Painting exclusively on the reverse side of glass, he creates layered compositions of remarkable depth and radiance. These works draw inspiration from architecture, music, personal memories, and everyday impressions, opening poetic and emotional spaces for reflection.
An accompanying publication, with an introduction by Dr. Matthias Harder, art historian and Director of the Helmut Newton Foundation, brings together Julio Rondo’s most significant series from the past three decades.
