Hangar 5 und 6, Flughafen Tempelhof Berlin

We are pleased to announce the third edition of art berlin with the participation of more than 110 international galleries.
For the second time, art berlin takes place in the spectacular hangars of the historic Tempelhof Airport. The program focuses on young and established contemporary art as well as modern art. In order to respond to the shifting developments of the art market, art berlin is continually developing new formats for the curated and focused mediation of art alongside its Gallery presentations:
In the Special Projects section, galleries highlight individual positions or concentrate on curated exhibitions, this time with the work of artists such as Georges Adéagbo, Jörg Buttgereit, Leda Bourgogne, David Horwitz, Nadira Husain, Banele Khoza, Sarah Loibl, Stefan Marx, Shawn Maximo, Lia Perjovschi, Agnieszka Polska, Camilla Steinum, and Rirkrit Tiravanija.
The Salon section introduces new modes of presentation, with more than 10 young, emerging international platforms and project spaces presenting their concepts and visions for art mediation and for the art market. Among the participants are O-Town House, Los Angeles, Sans titre, Paris, Schiefe Zähne, Berlin, Sundogs, Paris, and The Performance Agency, Berlin.
art berlin is pleased to announce this year´s collaboration with LISTE – Art Fair Basel, which has been invited to bring its Joinery program to art berlin. The program presents video works by artists selected by the fair’s committee from participating LISTE galleries. On display are works by Daniela and Linda Dostalkova, Gerrit Frohne-Brinkmann and Paul Spengemann, Penny Goring, Liv Schulman, Buhlebezwe Siwani and more.
An extensive accompanying program will again supplement art berlin. Berlin galleries participating in the fair will open exhibitions in their gallery spaces on Friday evening with artists such as Carl Andre, Yael Bartana, Anne Collier, Hanne Darboven, Imi Knoebel, Erik van Lieshout, Bernhard Martin, John Miller, Olaf Nicolai, Roman Ondák, Laure Prouvost and others. art berlin is a partner of Berlin Art Week, which gathers together openings and exhibitions in museums, institutions and private collections www.berlinartweek.de.
We are particularly pleased that Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) has entered a multi-year partnership with art berlin. Alongside a series of talks: the LBBW Art Talks, LBBW will present a selection of work from its collection at the fair. The corporate collection combines works from classic modernism to contemporary art and comprises 16,000 pieces. Shuttle services are provided this year by our partner Audi City Berlin.
